We will be staying at AKL Jambo House in a few weeks and plan to take a daily break to swim. Is there an easy way to get to the Kidani pool? And which pool is better (our kids are 6 and 3)? We have stayed at AKL and liked the pool well enough, but we aren’t sure if we are missing anything awesome at Kidani.

Thanks!

There is a kids' splash area at the Kidani pool, and I have heard that the slide is better at Kidani. You can walk, or there is a shuttle bus that goes between the two resorts, it picks up near where the Magical Express drops off. Alternatively, you can often get on one of the regular buses (I can't remember if it is the parks buses or DS buses that go from Jambo to Kidani) but it says the direction of the buses on the signs at the bus stop, just check with the bus driver to ensure that you will actually stop at Kidani as during busy times they don't share buses.

There was no easy way to get to the Kidani pool when STAYING at Kidani LOL. Seriously, we couldn't figure out how to get to it and got lost for a long time. We figured there was no way they designed the place intending for guests to have to exit the lobby and walk around the side of the parking lot to get to it but that's what happened.

We stayed at Kidani and swam at both pools, Kidani & Jambo and hands down the best pool was Kidani, it was just our favorite!

The splash zone at Kidani was one of my favorite spots, there was a waterfall that DD and I would stand under, it was really cute. The slides at Kidani were great too.

Here's a look at it on youtube; (I posted one of the pool and one of the splash zone)

We stayed at AKL-Jambo for the first time in April. We used the Jambo pool for most of our trip and out of ignorance hadn't even really paid attention to the Kidani pool. But randomly we walked over there one morning - SO GLAD WE DID.

Our kids were 7 and 3 at the time and they LOVED the Kidani pool. Great kids area, great slide, great layout, great bar. We didn't step foot back at the Jambo pool once we discovered Kidani.

We took the shuttle the first time, but then just walked all the other times - it was super easy.

Kidani pool is great for kids! The huge, zero-entry pool at Jambo is nice too, but Kidani has more kiddie-fun stuff, and a WAY better slide! We walked over there and it's easy to get to. There's a soda station right there at the pool too, so bring your mugs if you have them.

The slide at Kidani is a much larger faster slide... The pool at Jambo is at least twice the size however... For that age I think the Jambo pool will be better unless they are and you are ok with the bigger slide -- the 6 year old may be but not the 3 Year old. Kidani as above does have a very nice splash area however Jambo has a playground by the pool -- no water-- I think they will have fun at either. Jambo is also zero entry and has a lot more shallow area than Kidani. To get to Kidani you can take the DS bus or they have a shuttle or you can walk but it is a long walk.... If you take the bus or shuttle you can walk through Kidani -- make a left from the main lobby walk down to the Pumba section and that elevator will take you right by the back entrance to the pool which is closest to the splash area and the actual pool... you can also walk from the main entrance (again left if you are walk in right if you are walking out) which will enter at the top part of the pool area which has the gym you will need to walk down a long flight of stairs to get to the pool.

Kidani pool is smaller but the whole pool complex is better. The slide is awesome. I wouldn't mind staying at Kidani in the future.
