AKL or Poly for late August?

We've stayed at Poly during the ppol rehab and DH and I were so excitedto stay there and use the volcano pool BUT after the last trip with 2 days at AKL my DS's (will be 8 and 4) are pleading to stay at AKL again, primarily for the bunk beds!!!
AKL is less costly but all busses.
I know AKL has a zero entry pool, but does Poly? That could factor in our decision since youngest DS likes the independence of the zero entry pools.
Resort splitting is not an option this trip since we are already at Renaissance SeaWorld for 3 days (love those Marriott points), Portofino Bay for 3 nights at Universal and ending with 6 nights at WDW. I KNOW we won't want to resort hop.
Any suggestions?

We have stayed at AKL with our children, we all loved it.
The bunkbeds were great, watching the animals out the balcony and the peacefull mornings are relaxing, the african theme and deco is calming, the resturants with their menus are a nice change from the local resturants.
The all buses transportation is faster than the monorail or boats in some cases. If I have the choice I would choose it again :)

The Volcano pool has zero entry but it is smaller than the one at AKL.

Thanks Tiff 13, that's what I hoped-that the volcano pool had a zero depth entry. I REALLY have my heart set on Poly again. I'm thinking of doing dinner at Boma one night and staying around for the night vision telescope viewing-which was a big hit. I'd like to stay at AKL sometime again, but I'm not ready to give up the monorail for bunkbeds!

Just my two cents, but if your kids really liked AKL I'd stay there again. The last thing you want is a couple of young boys starting the trip disappointed that they can't have the bunk beds and see the animals. Plus, AKL is a little cheaper than Poly.

It sounds like you go to Disney often. Perhaps you can make an arrangement with your kids that you stay at the Poly on the next trip. While I love the Poly I think some of the other resorts are more kid friendly (like AKL with the animals, Contemporary with the arcade, etc). When your kids get a little older they'll probably appreciate the Poly more.

Just my thoughts.

Hi randbmom,

The Volcano pool at the Poly does also have zero entry. I was just keep in mind that bunk beds can only be requested to my knowledge and therefore as a request might not be granted. If I had to choose I would go with the AKL but just try and let the kids know that there is a chance that they might not get bunk beds.
