Maybe it depends on what you likeor want out of your vacation. If the convience of Epcot and MGM is important along with the night life of Boardwalk, the Beach Club is the one.
The Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful. It is secluded and quiet. The view of the animals is so relaxing and tranquil.
Both resorts are great. It just depends on what type of vacation experience you are looking to have. IMO

I was faced with the same decision, AKL or BC (only things available for my dates). I figured that the location and transportation would be better at the BC, so I went for it. The rooms are also larger, and they have a great pool area.
Guapy,
How long is your stay going to be? If you'll be there 7-8 nights or longer you might consider doing both resorts. We've done this several times, in Dec. we're doing 5 nights at the Poly and 4 at the BW.
Beach Club! My parents and I have been going to BC for awhile now, we decided to try AKL this last time and wished we were at BC every day we were there.
Better is subjective. The AKL gives you something that you can not get unless you go to Africa. You can sit on your balcony and watch zebra and wilderbeast(sp?) walk by. The AKL also has a food court type area for quick snacks and meals. You do only have bus transportation from the AKL but we found the buses to be quick and never had to wait long.
The BC does not garentee a balcony. There is no quick meal place. Only Beaches and Cream and that can get very crowded. I would give the pool nod to the BC. The rooms at the BC are larger then the regular rooms at the AKL. You can also walk from the BC to EC or MGM.
It really comes down to what type of vacation you are looking for. When we stayed at the AKL we found it hard to drag ourselves away to go to the parks. I am sure no matter which resort you choose you will have a great trip.
