Hello again,
We have not stayed onsite since they introduced Minnie Van service. I'm wondering how folks staying at AKL have used Minnie Van service and whether they've found vans more or less available than other areas around WDW (since AKL is to some degree a bit more removed from the center of things).

Basically wondering if usage of the Minnie Van service has helped address the hesitation that some people (or at least we) have in the past felt about staying at AKL...

Thanks

We stayed at AKL during our last visit over the Summer and used Minnie Vans a few times. We never waited more than a few minutes. There aren't as many as you'll see hanging out at the parks, so you're not going to get a van in 60 seconds. But whenever we called for one, it arrived pretty quickly.

I have used the Minnie Vans since they were introduced and for multiple trips, including one just a few weeks ago. In general, getting a Minnie Van anywhere on property is hit-or-miss. There is just no predicting if one will be in your general area at any given time. I have had Minnie Vans show up almost instantaneously. I've also waited up to 30 minutes for one and, in some cases, I couldn't get one at all. If you would be interested in adding regular uber/lyft into your transportation mix, you will have more luck, but I wouldn't pick a resort based on the hopes Minnie Vans will be readily available.

We took a Minnie Van last Saturday from AKL to the Boardwalk for breakfast and it was in the parking lot already so was ready immediately! When it was waiting to pair me with one, I saw at least 4 within minutes of AKL....

Hey thanks so much! I do need to look into the pricing....thanks again!

It wasn’t cheap, but from the day we arrived, my daughter would gasp anytime a Minnie Van went by, so on our last morning we caved lol. Cost us $30 from AKL-Boardwalk at 8:15am. If that helps!

We tried to use a Minnie Van in September to get from AKL to Yacht Club and waited 20 minutes with no cars available. Fortunately we were able to get a taxi for 6 of us with two kids and still made it on time (and for less money) but our takeaway from it was that you can't rely on there being a Minnie Van, especially during peak times. We definitely felt stranded at AKL.
