Hi Everyone,

If anyone is at AKL now, do you mind looking at the safe at the resort to see if it would hold a 15" MAC computer?

I know that they are upright against a wall but I'm not sure of the actual dimensions.

Hi all! Quick question: We are booked in connecting rooms with a bunk bed with an Arusha view. (Long story, but this is not a request--it's a guarantee through Disney.) Does anyone know what my chances of getting a king room in the other connecting room would be? Is that a fairly typical combo?

Does any one know if there are Club level bunk bed rooms? We will be at AKL Club level Nov 6-12 for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. My 2 year old just moved into a "big boy" twin bed. It would be nice to have bunk beds so that he doesn't have to adapt to a queen bed on vacation.

Yes! We had one - room 4321 on the Kudu Trail in August. I believe its pretty much at the end of all the club level rooms on that trail - pretty long walk to the club lounge (and pretty much to everything else too). Ours was a connecting room - and it connected to a 2 queen bed room arrangement.

42 days until AKV for this girl! I am so excited I can't think straight anymore. All I can talk about and listen to is Disney music, look up pictures of the parks and resorts, and make more plans for places to eat and see.

We are staying at a 1 bedroom kidani in November. Does anyone have a picture of the two couches open into beds. I would be curious to see the space. Thank u in advance

Our DVC points rental was processed and we just got the Savannah view studio room and we're so excited! I was worried that I'd be at the Art of Animation for Christmas, but husband came through with a fabulous update!

We're going to be there December 21-27. We've been to WDW many times but this is the first time we're staying on property - we usually use our timeshare points at the Marriott.


What is the size of a "studio" room compared to a typical hotel room? I figure it's small, but maybe a little bigger? We're in the Kidani Village if that helps any.

Kidani studios are a tad bigger than Jambo. I loved Jambo so much that I never dreamed I would want to stay in Kidani, but once we stayed in a Kidani 1 bedroom, we were so spoiled by the 2 bathrooms, we never want to stay anywhere else! The views are terrific, too, so I hope you like it there as much as we do. We always stayed in studios until the 2 bathroom thing got us, and there was plenty of room. Really, we only changed for the bathrooms - husband loves not having to wait on me, and I love being able to take over the bigger bathroom without having to worry about holding him up. It works out well for us, except that now we can only go every 3 years instead of every 2. I can live with it!

The Kitchenette is really what sold us on the upgrade. The price difference between switching resorts was only $250, so over the course of 6 nights it came out to a little over $40 for that feature. And, of course, the resort being a much better destination for our vacation.


As we're going the week of Christmas, we are well aware the crowds will be terrible. We're going to spend a lot of time at the resort. We usually go the week before Christmas but the finals schedule for my MBA program shifted and we're now going a week later.

Just packed( my bag, not his) and I squee'd when I put my bright yellow ME tags on

10 glorious days. Dinner at Jiko arrival night( our anniversary) and CL. can we say spoiled rotten? did I mention F&W?!


is there or is there not Free WiFi at the resort now? I keep getting conflicting info.. some say it's ten buck per 24 hours, other sources say it is now free..

if not, I am leaving the laptop at home, I can check email on my smartphone.

if there is, I can justify bringing it for downtime and to make everyone green with envy at our FB picture downloads.
