What Trails are the pool view rooms located ? I was looking at an AKL unoffical web site and it said they were in Zebra Trail. Isn't there any on Giraffe Trail ? I would like to find a map that shows the location of pool view and standard rooms. Anyone know where I can find one ?

You need the Touring Plans room locator.

Go to Touring Plans, go to the Resort, Deluxe Resort, AKL page and click on the room locator link. Plug in pool view, and any other parameters you have and it will show you where all the rooms with that criteria are located

Yes! Giraffe Trail does have pool view rooms!

Yes, both Zebra and Giraffe have pool view rooms.

All regular rooms (regardless of view) use the Cuisinart pods. All DVC rooms (studios and villas, even if booked with cash) have the basket filter drip coffee makers. Hope that helps!

So are these like the senseo pods? If not does anyone know where to purchase cuisanart pods for extra coffee during our stay, or will housekeeping give you couple extra pods each day if you ask?

Yes. They are like the senseo pods. Housekeeping replenishes 2 decaf and 2 regular per day, in my experience. Used bottled water and the coffee will be very good

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for I have one more question. I think I have read before that there is not an easy exit for ground floors to get out to the pool ?

I made the switch from 8 nights at BWV to 3 nights AKLV and then BWV. I really wanted to try the AKL and so did my kids. We got a studio savanna view. I can't wait!!!!

We would like to request Giraffe Trail ground floor to have easy access to the pool and bus stop. I believe I read a long time ago that on the ground floors you could not just walk out to the pool . Where are the exit doors or will we have to walk way down the hall to get out ?

Could someone post what the request options are when you do online check-in? Our party has 2 rooms booked - 1 savannah view and 1 pool view. What are the request options? Thanks so much!
