I know. Especially you, who was so painfullly denied a trip for the holidays! A lot of the parks still have Christmas stuff up. It's slowly coming down :sad2:

I also thought of you, Kimmar, while we were valet parking to go into Jiko for dinner. A concierge GMC Yukon pulled up (driver with the red, plaid vest) got out. A very tall, black man with a NYY hat on, carrying a small child got out with some other people. It was none other than ... Plaxico Burress! Kinda neat, hey? I had this funny thing run through my mind:

"Plaxico Burress, you just shot yourself in the leg...what are you going to do now? I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD"!!! (sorry, couldn't help myself!):woohoo:

....:lmao:

LOL - Hey All!!!!!!

For those who are "oldies" around here, you'll remember me!!! I"m back HOME and it feels so good!!! We are planning another trip for Jan. 2010 - at the moment (don't shoot me) it's at the Poly!!! BUT, ya never know...... between DH and you guys............. I could be swayed..... yet again, back to the AKL!!!

Anyway - I'm glad to be back and planning another trip with all my friends!!!!

We saw two amazing weddings while at the Grand Floridian over the weekend. They both had the "royal onion" right in front of the entrance between the GF and the pool. The bride and groom and their entourage had a videographer and a photog following them up and down the beach. It was beautiful. The groom, Indian, was knock out handsome. His mother was dressed in a very fancy, traditional silk Indian sare (spelling?). The other wedding actually employed the use of one of the giant ferries (the ones that transport you from the TTC to MK) as part of their ceremony. This fairy was actually docked behind the wedding chapel...could not figure that one out, but I guess if you have the money, Disney will make it happen!

Hi Bensmom, you might have seen this DISers wedding: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1424820 Her groom is Indian and their wedding was even filmed for a TV show... While I find it fascinating to read about it (lots of the wedding TR are really cute to read... ) having TV at my wedding would be a nightmare!! :scared1:

...okay, so here's last year's tree:

Hi Wendypooh and welcome back!! :cheer2:

I can't shoot you, I will be at the Poly in 16 days!!! But I can tell you: I am sitting here and secretely cursing myself a little bit for booking the Poly instead of AKL. The 4+3 deal sucked us in, thinking that this would be the only way we would ever justify such an expensive resort... And AKL was not available with the deal for our week when we booked, but became available later... I should have rebooked then! Now I am stuck with the Poly and while I am really looking forward to it (no question about it!!!), it does not feel as much like "home" as AKL. So I would strongly reconsider your plans!!

Kimmar, your tree is wonderful!! And your dog is so cute!! We used to have the same type, but with a greyish pattern... :goodvibes

HEY!!!! It is good to hear from you! I won't shoot you since I ended up staying at the Poly Oct 2007 after switching from AKL and then this past Oct stayed at WL CL. Although I have to say AKL is still special in my heart and that is all DH kept saying. I would have to say that we will most likely stay there next trip...not sure when that will be though. We just make sure to eat at both Boma and Jiko to make up for it. LOL.

And I so remember Zebra Dme Fridays...do those still happen?

I'm feeling like I'm in the same boat....... I really want to stay at the Poly - I really do............ but, I'm still feeling like I might be making the wrong decision!! :confused3

So I would strongly reconsider your plans!!

So, what longhouse did you stay in?? I'm trying to decide which one to request - either Tahiti or Tokelau? UNLESS - I'm persuaded to return to the lodge.............. :rolleyes1 (Floss!!!!) LOL
