No no no, you've all got it wrong!!

WDW and DL are both pretty 'off' DLRP is the 'right' one! :lmao: It really freaks me out seeing the Emporium at WDW as its sooo identical to the Paris one that the white castle down the street from it just doesnt fit!!! (obviously though Paris copied WDW but shhh!)

:rotfl:

Seriously, we need our map out at the MK, because it's just so darn confusing having the lake in the wrong place!:lmao:

Jack and I are going to be awful, I can tell!!

In DLRP there is no Liberty Square and Frontierland is bottom left, and Adventureland Above it....WDW is going to be very confusing!

Elin, thanks for the link.:surfweb:

These are great-thanks for sharing...pianoforte:)

I'm definately going over there in August to check everything out-want to eat in Saana and secondly to see that pool-my little guy would probably get a kick out of it...we will probably walk there from porte-cochere to porte -chochere

You do get the sense from the pictures that if you've only been to the Lodge-oops- jambo house- that something is off at kidani village but its all what you've gotten used to...

the first time I was in Disneyland-I was slightly discombobulated (sp?) because the Castle there while charming is much smaller than at WDW since the Matterhorn was meant to be the focal point there...

but Disneyland has a special charm that creeps up on you...its a little smaller and has its own special 'flavor'-their Pirates is (dare) I say it better than WDW and the Indiana Jones ride is worth the price of admission. Their Fantasyland feels more like a real "land"-more rides, etc. and now they have Nemo's Subs...

Having said that WDW has tons and tons of stuff that aren't there...biggest thing I missed was all the different hotel choice/experiences and dining...but together there is tons of Disney Magic to go around...:cloud9:

I can't wait to see it and I'm sure that I will have DVC envy-although walking into the lobby at the lodge every morning is pretty cool...:worship:...

(did anyone else going through those photos notice the guy in front of Saana-I'm not getting real welcome vibes from him-more like I dare you to eat here...:confused3...hmmm probably just a kink to work out...

Has this link been posted here? I don't think I had seen these pictures until just a few minutes ago.

I also have figured out why I find all these shots of Kidani to be a little "off-centering" to me. It is like when you walk into the Magic Kingdom at DL and look around and things kind of look right but kind of don't. This place kinda looks like Jambo but kinda doesn't. :teeth:
....I know exactly what you mean....

...WOW, those pix are AMAZING!!! I really wanna go to Kidani now....

Can anyone tell me where the laundry facility is? We are booked in a Pool view room and I am wondering how far it is, and where. May 1st can't get here fast enough!!!!!

...at the Jambo house it's next to Simba's Den and there's one also on the third floor all the way at the end of Kudu Trail...

..this really gives one a sense of how lagre Kidani is compared to Jambo..

And there is an elevator that goes right down to where the laundry facility is...I could show you, but I can't tell you how to get there! Sorry. When we drop my son off at Simba's, we leave via the elevators. The elevators dump us out to the second floor, which leads us right to the ramp to Victoria Falls Lounge! Of course, it does! LOL As I said, I could show you, but I don't know what wing that is.

Of course, all of the DVC one-bedrooms and larger have their own stacked washer/dryer units (ah, heaven!) It's one of my favorite things about DVC!

So...what is (or what will be) the grey building that seems to connect the two?

Also - has anyone ever booked regular hotel AKL but then been put in a DVC due to over booking etc? Just realised I've never heard it discussed!

I love all the pics of Kidani:banana:
I can't wait:cheer2:
Only 24 more days!:woohoo:

I have a question about the DVC rooms in Jambo House -- does anyone know how many studio & 1-bedroom villas are club-level? And what views there are?

Just answered the first part on the other thread.:goodvibes

There are five of each but they can be combined into five 2 BRs.

Three of each face Sunset Savannah and two face the pool with Uzima beyond.

I've wondered about that too. In a DVD that was sent to DVC members a couple years back, there appears to be a walkway between Jambo and Kidani in the blueprints (which are shown for just a second). But I haven't seen anymore about that and looking at the buildings from Kudu Trail last month, it doesn't appear to be a walkway.

I'm afraid that area is just backstage. We'll have to wait until next week to find out for sure I guess. Maybe an assignment for Ben'sMom?

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it. :rockband::jumping1:

We just switched part of our split stay and now we are doing CSR and AKL. Can't wait to see AKL in person the pics look awesome.
