AKL laundry question

Can someone tell me where the laundry facility is at this resort? I've seen pictures of it, but not the location.

With 10 days of August heat, I'm sure I'll need to do a load of sweaty clothes at some point. Hoping it is near the pool.

It's going to be located close to Mara and the arcade and YES it is by the pool. When you exit Mara or the arcade, you take a left and enter the building. Directly in front of the doors to the entrance of the building is the laundry facility.

If you look at the map http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/aklmap.htm it will be labeled albeit a little hard to read due to the quality of the picture. If you look at the wading pool, the "laundry" sign will be just above that and it will indicate it's on the 1st floor.

Yes. And if your room is on the Zebra Trail, you can take the elevators which are halfway down that trail, down to the first floor and you will exit the elevator right outside the laundry room Simba's Cubhouse (kids' club) is right there too. I almost always do laundry while at AKL - it is very convenient to the pool and we are almost always on the Zebra Trail, so it's pretty easy going back and forth.

The two times we stayed there (a long time ago, though) half the washers were not working! Also, there was a huge back-up of people's clothing, left in washers, left in dryers, left in the carts, left on the counter...

I've done laundry on every trip except the last one, and AKL is the only place I've expereinced such a huge back-up of laundry.
