AKL in November Question

Will be staying at the AKL in November for our 1st time and its also our 1st time at a deluxe. We are very excited! We have a Savanna view with bunk beds room booked. My question is, we would like to request a specific location (Zebra Trail, Arusha Savanna). When should I make the request? Should I call now (we are at 40 days and counting!) or should I wait until the week before? And my last question is should I request a location or just hope for the best?

I would make the request as soon as possible. AKL will sell out if it is the end of Nov. Remember that a Request is just that, a Request. I would arrive as early as I could to see that my requests are filled.
