AKL Giraffe standard room request ?

If we have a standard room at AKL
Can we request a high floor in the Giraffe section with a nice view
Is that too much of a request ?
Maybe we can get a pool view
DH does not care about an animal view
He thinks the AKL is an upgraded moderate because of the bus to everywhere

Even if we do the other side of the pool view of the Giraffe section - we could see trees and the bus stop
We would even take that view with no problem - as long as we were on a high floor

Is there a particular reason you want Giraffe Trail? Most of the standard rooms there will have a view of the front of the resort. Certainly if Giraffe Trail, high floor, nice view is what you are looking for, you can note those 3 requests on your reservation. I would just figure out in what order you want to make those requests based on priority.

If being on a high floor is really important to you I would make that your only request. When you have multiple requests sometimes you'll get one of them, but they won't know which is the most important to you.

You can put multiple requests in a priority order.

Example from my request for Sports a couple of years ago:
"I'd like to request a room that meets one or more of these criteria:
1st priority - Surf's Up section
2nd priority - top floor
3rd priority - corner room"

I got Surf's Up, third floor, one door away from the corner.

When you prioritize the requests, the assigner should look for available rooms that meet your first request; then once they have that, they check to see which of those - if any - meet your second priority, and so forth. IF there are no rooms that meet your first priority, they should move to your second priority.

But yes, as @FSU Girl said, if you just lump the requests together, they will not know which is more important and you may get the least important or none.

A "nice view" isn't a request that someone can accommodate. I don't know what you consider to be a nice view and no one else will either. Don't give subjective requests - give detailed/objective/specific requests or examples. Request high floor Giraffe section. If you can, look online to find out what rooms might be in the area where you consider them to be a nice view and suggest that section or a similar room to or similar view from room XXX in Giraffe section.
