Hi, I am undecided as to whether AKL( Savannah View) in Feb will be worth $14 per point or if we should try for BCV for less? Any opinions? Staying w/ DH and 3 kiddos under 8 for four nights. Would love any/ all opinions!
Hmmmmm.
It is hard for others to put monetary value on your personal wants, but since you asked
1) If I had AKV points, I be charging $15.00 each, so already I think you are getting a good deal.
2) Compared to Disney's rack rates, by renting
DVC Points you are already getting a GREAT DEAL!
3) BCV has the nicest pool (mini-water park), *BUT* it is so spread out, that watching three kids will be difficult, unless you restrict them to the same area of storm along bay. Is the resort pool, the most important aspect of your vacation? How much does constant parental vigilance at SAB detract from it?
4) Animals. Does your family like 'em? Or do you work at a park, and they bore you? You may see many from your room, or few. How much time will you spend in your room?
Now my bias:
BCV is built, no hammering, no construction noises, equipment or inconveinence.
BCV is in a busy, bustling area, quick easy commutes to EPCOT (Kids under 8 may not consider that a plus) and MGM (kids under 8 may consider that a plus).
BCV has good and varied food choices.
AKV, off the beaten track, fancy, but 'unusual' offerings in Boma and Jiko. Disney transport, or driving to get anywhere.
BCV would be my choice right now.
Of course, if value is your # 1 factor, Value resorts, off-site resorts, or package plans and specials (such as free dining) maybe a better value for you, or at least worth considering.
Enjoy your vacation!
