AKL DVC CL room - capacity?

I'm just wondering if any of the DVC club level rooms at AKL have capacity for a family of 5.

I'm starting to panic about our imminent inability to stay at AKL once our son turns 3, however, if the CL DVC room is an option than maybe my panic is for nothing.

If they do accommodate 5, how hard are they to get, either through renting points or direct through Disney?

Jambo House club level DVC studios sleep 4 plus one under the age of 3. They are next to impossible to get by renting points. They book at the 11 month window by owners, and there are only like 5 or 6 of them.

There are five two bedroom lockoffs on the sixth floor of Jambo House. These are the DVC Concierge villas. Three have a partially obscured savanna view and two have a partially obscured pool view. At least one is handicap accessible. A two bedroom lockoff is composed of a studio (sleeps four) and a one bedroom (sleeps five) to make a two bedroom (sleeps nine). You cannot request one view over the other and most members will walk their reservation in order to get it. Or they cross their fingers and hope what they need is available right when online booking opens for the day at exactly 11 months out. Unless you are booking privately with an owner who owns at AKV and who will walk the reservation (start booking it several days before the actually date you need, call Member Services each day to add the last night and drop the first night until they have the nights they need) or are willing to risk waiting for exactly 11 months out, you won't get the concierge villas by renting points.

If you really want a savanna view, with your family of five, you want to book a savanna view one bedroom villa. Don't book the concierge villas for the view. Book them for the access to the lounge and the various services you get with this booking.

The 1BR DVC Club Level DVC units sleep 5.

The challenges, though:

• There are a total of 5 2 bedroom lock-off units for DVC AKV Club Level
• Each of these can be 1 Studio + 1 1BR, making a maximum of 5 available at any given time, assuming no one books one as a 2BR
• DVC owners book these units in advance of the 11 month booking dates
• They will almost never be bookable on rental points
• They will not release to Disney cash booking

The DVC CL units go beyond walking a few days, sometimes. There are owners who "walk" reservations for a month at a crack.

I feel your pain we own dvc at AKL so we've had no trouble getting our studio, but we take my mom and our next trip he'll be 3....ugh the point difference for a 1BR! We love CL.
You might want to ask, if he's 2 at the start of the trip I believe he's "2" the entire trip! Just like for tickets, he's free. It may get you a full week! Good luck!
