AKL Deluxe CL ?

We are scheduled to arrive at WDW on 2/9/08. I had originally booked POR, but decided I wanted to upgrade to AKL Concierge just for the one night before we moved over to VWL. Because there will be five of us, we need a Deluxe room. I have called several times and they say that none are available. My question is (and I have not been able to get a straight understandable issue from the CMs with whom I have spoken)- are there even any deluxe CL rooms? Could they all be booked now (it is almost 7 months away and 2008 pricing hasn't even come out yet)? or is it that they have lost some rooms because of the construction and have been taken out the system until the inside construction is completed? If there are just no deluxe rooms on CL, fine I won't keep bothering to call, but if there are, I will keep calling. TIA!

All of the Deluxe CL rooms were on the 5th and 6th floors....those floors are no longer part of AKL...they will be AK Villas (part of the DVC) when completed. So for now there are not any deluxe CL rooms at AKL...now whether they will create some in another part of the hotel at some point in the future is still up in the air...but for your trip in Feb I think it is unlikely that there will be any. You might inquire about booking a studio on the CL at AK Villas...their studios will sleep 5 (all other DVC studios only sleep 4) and they have some on the concierge level. I have no idea how much they cost or what views they have but you could always call CRO and ask.
