We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. A friend from town will join us for a day in the Aminal Kingdom and dinner back at the lodge. Can you speak from experience or otherwise on the ability of this visitor to park at Animal Kingdom Lodge all day?

I know that your friend can get a 3 hour pass but I don't think that you can get an all day pass. They could park at DTD and then take the bus to the hotel.

Ask the front desk at least one day prior to your guest's arrival. If the resort isn't full, it might be possible to get a one-day pass. If it is, it's probably going to be parking at DTD to avoid the fee.

Your friend will be able to visit you. They will not normally give them a 3 hour pass. They will just let them in. Let the front desk know that they are coming. Worst comes to worst, just have your friend valet park. We've had friends visit us and go to the parks from the hotel with us and not had any problems

You can get a second parking pass. Ask at the front desk and they can print out one that will expire at midnight on that day. When your friend gets to the gate guard, have them tell the guard your room number and name and they will be let through without any problems. Then meet them with the parking pass. Pretty easy.
