AKL - Concierge-What are my chances?

I was wondering what you thought my chances were of getting AKL concierge (studio) for the Thurs/Fri/Saturday right before Easter? I noticed that I have a few points that I need to use uip. What about getting a Savannah View?
I already have SSR booked as a studio in that time frame, but the 7 month window was coming up and I just thought it would be neat to stay there.

Since you asked ... your chances of getting AKV concierge level at 7-months are slim and none! Last October I waitlisted day-by-day for 7 nights in a studio for August of this year (10-months out!) and did not get it! In all that time I only had one night of my waitlist match!

I'm sure it has been posted before, but for those that do not know there are literally only 10 villas at the concierge level. Five are studios, five are one bedrooms, and if you want a two bedroom you would need one of each. Because there are so few, they disappear within hours of the 11-month booking day. And with the new booking rules, there are now no guarantees even if you are the first caller on the 11-month day. To expect it to be available at 7-months is unrealistic. The only thing you have going for you is that you want weekend nights, but you also cannot waitlist day-by-day anymore so I would say plan on something else.

Savannah view should not be as big a problem, but AKV has been extremely popular for the past year and you are going at Easter. If you do not want to stay at SSR, you should probably consider something other than AKV.

It will be an iffy thing, but since you already have your SSR studio, why not give it a go. IF you are successful for some or all of those nights, let us know.
We considered moving from SSR to AKL GV in May and I called to see if it was at all possible. We could have booked Aug 7 - 10 in one of the AKL GV. I was all excited at the possibility but the rest of the family didn't want to take the time to pack up and move.

There have been some reports of getting it at 7 months. I stayed there with friends at the end of June on a reservation made at 7 months (4 nights Fri-Tues). Your Easter dates makes it more difficult.

We had a flight change and added the Saturday night before Easter to an existing reservation at about one month out this year. It was available when I called. The weekend points are high which increases your chance.

Thanks for your replies. I didn't realize that there were only 5 studios on concierge. Maybe I'll just try for the savannah view.
