AKL Concierge vs. WL Concierge- need your help- please!!

How do you go about doing that at WL and how many points is it. I did not see it on any point charts. But I am new to this.

CSFireman- DVC rules are as follows:

IF a resort has a DVC attached to it (WL, BC, BW and WITH the exception of AKV), then your points can only be used at that resort to reserve a room using the DVC facilities. You are fortunate you bought at AKV- this is the first of the DVC resorts that has specific concierge rooms attached.

If a resort does not have a DVC attached to it, then you can reserve a room at the resort using your points.

As a result- You cannot reserve a concierge room at the WL becasue there is a VWL attached to it. But you can reserve concierge with your points at GF, Poly, CR, YC.

The points vary, of course, depending on the time you go, the resort you choose and the view you want.

If you go to the members site, log in. Once the main page comes up, look to the right. There is a small box that has several things you can click on. CLICK "view points". Once that page comes up, Look Under "Disney Collection"- and click on "WDW Resort in Florida". That will bring you to the page that tells you how many points it takes to stay at the Non DVC resorts.

AKL concierge was the best I have stayed at on Disney property! We have stayed there 4 times, and were impressed each and every time. The CM's were so proud of their hotel and really went out of the way to help.The Sunrise Safari is so super and worth every dime! Have also done the Sunset Safari and is also very very good and though expensive, it included dinner at Jiko's. (not an insignificant expense!!) CM even found me a pair of shoes for my granddaughter when I had searched high and low to find her a pair! Food was plentiful and really good and different - especially in the evening.

I have also stayed Concierge at the Beach Club and my room was on the first floor and the lounge was on 5 or 6!!!! Long way to walk for coffee! Poly concierge was NOT clean (sticky tables, paper & food on floor) and always loaded with very unruly kids, dropping food, running, etc. (where were mom & dad?) GF was elegant but sparse with food offerings. CM's were ok but nothing special. Contemporary concierge also was OK, but again, nothing special.
Breakfasts were very similar at all those resorts, the 'over the top' offerings were definitely at AKL Concierge Lounge.

We loved AKL concierge and the food was great. The staff was hot and cold. Some of the staff was over the top and others really didnt speak to you unless you asked a question directly to them. The sunrise safari was great and Don in the IPO office is the best.

This time we are trying WL CL with the junior suite option. The IPO seems to be a little less attentive than Don at AKL but we wanted to try something different this time and we have 5 in our room so AKL is not an option this time around.

I dont think you could go wrong with either one. I would choose the theming you like best.
