I'm planning our 2nd stay at AKL and hopefully this time i'll be in better shape to enjoy more of what this lodge has to offer(had the flu for our xmas '02 stay). We would be going the first part of Dec. which puts our stay in the value season catagory.

What prices have you gotten for concierge level and did you use
a code,AP,or something else?

What kind of foods in the morning does the concierge lounge
serve. We are not big breakfast eaters and i can get away with
just pastries but DH need some kind of protein. Do they offer
toast and if so do they have any peanutbutter you could put on
it.

I'm tring to see if this catagory of room is in the budget this time as we would be doing this mainly for the S.S tour. This will also be our longest WDW stay(10 or 11 days). We are hoping to only do a couple days at the above level and then on to the BWV for the rest of our stay. Thanks for your help.

Hi there...

Breakfast was great.

They had toast & bagels, with little jams pots, little cream cheese packages, peanut butter & butter & margerine.

There was a toaster so you could toast your own freshly.

They also had oatmeal with toppings like granola, dired friut, brown sugar etc..

Muffins - several kinds a day - large and delicious

Pastries - they had the Best cheese danish! and other danishes, cinnamon rolls etc...

Cereals (ie) special K, fruit loops, rice krispies..

And of course fruit.. watermelon, cantelope & pineapple

There was also milk, juices, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.

You will really enjoy concierge =) You will not go hungry and if he really needs protein come to the 5pm hot foods - chicken skewers, etc...

I just booked AKL Concierge in value season with a AAA rate of $402.79 (including tax). I had booked it for early Dec., but just changed it since we have decided to go in late Aug.It was the same rate as Dec.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a lower rate.

It sounds like it is wonderful and can't wait to try it!!

AKL will never be the same after the two of are us there at the same time =)
