AKL Concierge level questions

We're considering staying at AKL on the Concienge level, and have a few questions. Any assiatnce is appreciated.

1. Do the 1 & 2 bedromm units have a full kitchen area (Stove, full refridgerator, etc)?

2. Do the 1 & 2 bedroom units have a washer & dryer in the room?

3. How are the views from the Concienrge level? Do you see a lot of the animals?

4. How is the Concierge lounge? I've read a few good reviews of the food,and an equal number of bad reviews about the staff.

5. How far is the lounge from the rooms? Can this be a long walk, or are they close by?

6. Is it difficult to get a reservation for the Sunrise Safari? How much does it cost?

Hi...Animal Kingdom VILLAS has the 1 and 2 bdr units....yes there is a full kitchen with supplies..and a dishwashwer!

Yes..there are washer/dryer in these units.

As far as the views are concnerned on Concierge at AKV....you will not be guaranteed a savanna view...some may be a pool view.

I cannot answer #4 or 5...yet.....soon though

As far as the Sunrise Safari....you can book that 180 days out....I am in the process of doing that now for 3/2...there were only 6 res for that so far...CM says it takes abt 50 or so guests. Cost is $55 for 10 and older.!

The $55 includes the safari ride and wonderful buffet breakfast.

It does include the breakfast buffet as well as a fastpass to ride the Kilimanjaro Safari ride the "normal" way! Your welcome

The $55 includes the buffet, and the food was incredible. It's in a little back room of Tusker House and is all set up for you when you arrive. It is only open to the folks who have been on the safari that morning.
As far as getting reservations for the safari, I did not find it difficult even scheduling right before our trip. There was still room the morning we went in July.
Our concierge experience at AKL was unpleasant, but they were doing the DVC construction at the time, and I have been told that things are much different normally. I hope that includes the attitude of the CL lounge cast members.
You'll love whatever view you get. The resort itself is incredible!

Last November we had the best staff for our concierge stay! What a bummer that it changed for a little while. Also, our room was the second room away from the lounge so it was perfect! We loved the food, and it actually saved us from buying breakfast every morning. Hopefully, your experience will be like ours. We had a great time!
