AKL Concierge in Oct?

We are planning a trip in early Oct. and planning on staying at AKL. But, am now thinking about upgrading to a concierge room! Can anyone tell me if this is worth it? Are the rooms larger? Are the snacks great? Any other benefits? We have only stayed in a concierge room at Poly, Can anyone offer differences between the two? Any advise welcomed, am trying to convince my dh that this will be worth the extra cost! Thanks!
