AKL Concierge---best rate?

Just wondering what rate others have been able to get AKL's concierge for. We paid $354 a night (tax included) in April. Worth every penny.

I was looking into it. $900 more for a 5 day stay. What made it so special?

That's the fallacy of concierge, IMO. If you're having to quantify the savings, if you're looking to specifically make it worth the extra money then probably it can seldom be "worth it", (again JMO). But Concierge isn't there for us ordinary, regular people. It is there for those who don't really need to ask how much.

That said, I have stayed at AKL Concierge (an upgrade) and was blown away the "specialty" of the staff and offerings. Could it be boiled down to $$$ savings, I don't think so, but if I had the extra disposable income AKL Concierge (doing the Sunrise Safari) is really a great experience...

We paid $234 (includes tax) last november. Worth EVERY penny! Of course now that rates are soooo much higher, we're wondering if we can do it again this year.

I'm paying 439.00 with tax a night for 4 nights at the end of October. I thought it was high - only paid 269.00 for Poly con. last Sept. But . . . . I love the added benefits. Is it worth it? To me it is - do I look for discounts - You bet I do. But . . . if I can't find one then I'm still staying there. Just love the personal service and food offerings and easy access to the lounges especially since I have 3 small children under 5. Can't wait to try AKL. Then we are renting points to stay at a 2 bedroom in VWL for another 8 nights - its actually cheaper than the AKL but I like being able to try different places.

I think we got it for the 234 rate last Nov as well. Well worth it at that rate. I think it was 70-80 bucks more than a comparable deluxe savannah room.
