AKL bunks

Hi there, just a quick question.

Am booking akl for august and the most expensive room is the savannah room with bunks.

I am assuming it is more expensive with bunks because then my child can see the animals from her bed, am i right?

Also, my dd5 has never slept in bunks and she would have to go on the top, is she too young? Anyone with bunk experience???

I don't have hotel bunk experience, but when shopping for bunk beds for my home I was told by the furniture store that the top bunk isn't recommended for children under 7.

We had one of those rooms on our first visit to Disney. I think they are more expensive because the kids don't have to share a bed. In our room the bunk bed was closest to the bathroom and the other bed was by the patio door, so they could not really see the animals from their bed. Our kids were three and five at the time and they did fine (the older one was in the top bunk, of course).

We had a bunk bed room in June and it worked out very well with us if i remember there is stops so you dont need to worry about her falling off also I dont think you can see the animals from there but I know for us it was very worth the extra cost because me and my brother didnt have to sleep in the same bed

The reason they cost more is that there are not many of them and they are in high demand. We had the savannah w/bunk beds and it worked great for DS7 and DD4. We are doing WL bunks in April and paying extra to get them.

My Family of 5 stayed at AKL Deluxe Savannah View 2 Christmas's ago and the boys enjoyed it and we didn't feel crowded at all. They will not be able to see the animals from their beds because the Bunk Beds are closer to the bathroom. But you do have a porch where you can sit and view the animals from your room. My little one was able to sleep on the top bunk but it all depends on your child.
