I agree

See my thread below..........mostly worried because we have booked with Virgin and so far they have kept schtum.........so not sure if we could change even if we wanted to.

I'm sure its fine and hope u don't get too stressed. Guess the best place to look for updates is good old disboards!:thumbsup2

thanks dossie...i read youre threads and that made it even more prominent in my mind.we are with TCD and they too have said nothing.

Thats why im was hoping simon v was around to enlighten us more!!!!!!

wake up simon..

All i know is somebody i know who is booked to stay there in Sept received a call from her Tour Operator to say they had sent a rep to have a look. They concluded that in parts of the building the noise is so loud she couldnt hold a conversation!
My friend has been given the option of switching hotels without fees.

Hope this helps.

hi

who was her operator?

i have just contacted TCD and they tell me the work is only in the car park?

she did say however they would ask a tour rep in florida to check again..its also mentioned on tcds own message board.

i will inform anyone as to the outcome

:confused3

Thomas Cook Signature. She had to contact them first and explain what she had heard. They then sent a rep to the resort and that was their findings.

I think you really need to find out for definate as you would be very disappointed if you got there and it was a nightmare. I would imagine Disney would do all they could though if you did arrive and was displeased.

Let us know how you get on. Hope it all works out for you.:wizard:

Me Again

Following reading some of the comments above - I contacted my tour operator - Virgin Holidays (never too easy or successful) and I was told that they knew nothing about it. The guy said that they would have been informed if the works were going to be disruptive to their guests and so far they knew nothing. He went as far as to say, and I quote:
"We never have rooms near to construction"

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Likely!

Anyway, I am going to ring direct to AKL when I get a chance next week and will update.

Cheers all

I have just phoned Disney regarding this as my Sister and her partner are staying there in September, and it is true work is going on from March 07 to April 09. Building vacation Villas.

They agent at WDW did say that the work is done at the time when most people are out at parks etc, however I imagine is you fancy a lazy day by the pool, it might not be too relaxing!

Travel agent - why no communication about this / or warning?

Give WDW a call, best way to get the info.

Cheers:headache:
