AKL (Boma) to Pop?

After a day at AKL, we'll be taking the family to dinner at Boma. Of course, getting there doesn't pose a problem, but returning to our hotel, Pop Century, after might. I really don't want to get a cab, b/c we'd need like 3 (there is 10 of us). So what do I do? Will I need to take a bus to DTD or another park and transfer? And about how long do you think that will take? DH and I want to get changed for our night out at PI upon return to Pop.

Try to plan an early dinner if you can so you can commute to Disney-MGM before it closes. I posted a similar question earlier and was told that DS is the closest park for AKL to Pop. Depending on what time of year you're going though, they could be closed by 7:30. I was told the buses run up to two hours after park closing, but I wondered if buses would still go TO the park and not just away from. It seems like buses to a closed park would be kinda pointless, except for situations like these. :-)

My husband and I decided to make our Boma night our DTD/PI night as well, so we can just go to DTD from AKL. True, we won't get to change clothes, but I'm thinking the clubs on PI don't have a strict dress code (in the sense of having to dress up), given that it's a tourist destination. I could be wrong though.

If you do really want to get changed before, I would advise you to commute through Disney MGM. If buses aren't running there, try Epcot. MK is too far out of the way of your route, and DTD is a slower bus route because of all the stops.

Unless you specifically want to go to DTD, do not take a bus there for your transfer, it will take much longer because of the number of stops. There is only one stop at AKL, take the first park bus that comes and do your transfer at that park.

Epcot is usually open until 9:00, so you could take the Epcot bus, and then hop on the POP bus.

I'd take the first park bus that appears, as long as that park is still open, then transfer at that park to a bus to Pop.
