aKL binocular ?

I am wondering if I should buy some for us before we go or wait and see if they have some in the gift shop. Or, do you think the concierge could arrange for some to be waiting for us?

I would like 2 inexpensive ones for the girls (11 & 9) I would like a decent pair for us.

I don't think the concierge has them to borrow, if that's what you mean.

I'm pretty sure I've seen inexpensive ones for kids in teh gift shop, but don't think I've seen more expensive ones for adults there.

We have a pair that we always pack and take with us from home, and they are definitely worth toting along when staying at the AKL.

we don't have any at home ~ checked out eBay and they have some for $20 that have night vision. well not real night vision but they work in very dim light. I am assuming there is some type of lighting in the savannah's???? I was thinking of getting a cheapo pair for the girls but for $20 they might be able to use these again if we can keep track of them after the trip..lol

Don't they have some type of night time animal viewing free? How does that work?

they were so worth it! Had a great time with them. They had night vision goggles from 9 to 11pm each night...had 2 pairs to use, you just stood in line and got to look through them for a few minutes and passed them off to the next person in line, you can't take them to your room or anything. Yes the savannahs are lit some, but not that much that your binoc's will see much if they don't have night vision capabilities, but don't worry about that, you can still see some movement out there and your kids will need to sleep at some point anyway.
