Hi, I was wondering if anyone has visited or stayed at AKL during the Christmas season. This is my first Christmas trip and I have already booked MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional Package. However, I didn't know if the AKL did anything special, put up a lot of decorations, etc.

In 2005, I went to AKL for dinner at Jiko. There was a giant tree in the lobby as I recall. It was themed to match the AKL but I can't remember specifically what the decorations were:confused3 I do remember that dinner was to die for!!;)

We'll be there this Christmas season (early Dec). I've been told the decorations are great. I'll just have to wait and see if they're as beautiful as WL or GF.

We stayed at AKL last Christmas.

Here is a picture in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby:

The resort was done very nice for the season. Have a great time....

We stayed there last Xmas and the place is beautifully decorated.

I wouldn't mind returning there this Xmas but dd wants to try somewhere new

Hi, We will be staying at Animal Kindgom Lodge in mid December this year. I have been at this resort several times over Christmas for the buffet at Boma (which is one of my favorite places to eat in all of Disneyworld.) It is beautifically decorated, as is all of Disney. I love going at Thanksgiving/Christmas because everything is so beautiful. I was there late this spring for the Epcot Flower and Garden show so now I have another favorite time to go. ( I LOVE ALL DOGS)

The decorations look like they're similar to The Wilderness Lodge's, which I think are beautiful during the holidays.

We stayed at the AKL, Dec. 17-24, 2005. Besides the holiday decorations, there was nightly entertainment; I recall bell ringers and singers. I saw Santa in the lobby for picture taking. The two days before Christmas the CMs served cookies and punch in the lobby. The Lodge was just beautiful!

We went in December last year and the chef didn't have time to make the little chocolate village they showed on the FN special. (Same thing at Poly.)

Curse you and your bubbly personality, Raven!:joker:
