AKL - amenities in room??

My husband and I will be staying at AKL 8/25 through 8/28. We're going to celebrate my 40th birthday....I can't wait!! Who ever would have thought I would be excited to turn 40! We have never stayed in a Disney deluxe resort and we're really excited about all the fabulous things we have heard and read about AKL. A couple of questions though...do the rooms have bathrobes? How about shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer? Any info you could provide we be great.

You should reallly love the AKL it is one of our favorite resorts...Sorry to report no bathrobes....but the do have standard issue Disney soaps and shampoos.....I have never used the hair dryers (short hair) but they do exist...

My DH spent his 40th there a few years ago and we ended up purchasing DVC before we left...

Have a wonderful time......take the time to look at the African displays in the lobby and thru the hallways...and the Savannah guides have great info about the animals....

Trinity is on the west coast about 1/2 hour from Tampa. It's actually part of New Port Richey. We just purchased the Florida seasonal pass. We've been down here for two years and it's the first time we're getting the pass. I'm so psyched because that means we'll go all the time since we're only an hour or so away.

I've got PS at the Rose and Crown for my birthday and hope to watch Illuminations from there. That's the one night time show we've never seen.

How funny! We will also be dining at Rose and Crown on our trip.

the first night we will eat at Jiko's and the last night at Boma.

I have family in tampa

We are in Hollywood (between Ft laud and miami)
this year was our first year with the passes. We stayed at Courtyard in DD , AS Movies, and Caribbean Beach. This is our fourth trip on this pass and we are planning on taking my niece and nehpew in Nov (AS Sports).

The concierge rooms have bathrobes in the rooms.

Just wanted to say that the hair dryers worked very well. I have medium length hair and was happy I didn't have to pack the blow dryer. I always bring my own shampoo though. Have a great time...terrific resort.

These rooms feature two queen-size beds, table and chairs, ceiling fan, bathroom with private commode, and data port on phone. Rooms also feature private balcony with a standard, savannah or pool view. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for Guests with disabilities are available.

Amenities include in-room safe, voice mail, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and 27" television. Coffeemaker and refrigerator available upon request.

As Ducklite already stated, the concierge rooms do come standard with robes. Of course if you aren't staying in a concierge room, you could always ask your significant other to purchase a robe for you at the AKL's gift shop -- as a birthday present, of course.
