Thinking about booking a 2 bedroom Club Level at AKL. Are club level rooms dedicated 2 bedrooms, or are they only at Kidani?

All 2 BRs at Jambo, including club level, are lock-offs. Also be aware that your chances of getting a club level 2BR even at 11 months out are not good. Kidani has both dedicated and lock-off 2BRs.

Yes, the 2BR dedicated is a guaranteed booking category at Kidani. When doing reservation online, you will see two booking categories, Two Bedroom and Two Bedroom lock-off. It is the Two Bedroom that is a dedicated 2BR

As to club level, be aware that being online to make reservation at exactly 8 a.m. does not itself usually work. Your start date is often gone before 11 months out because someone else got lucky and found a start date just before yours at 11 months out and filled your start date before you even get there to try. For example, today is March 25. The studios and 2BRs for club level are already gone for Feb 25 and 26, and thus someone with a Feb 26 start date is already blocked out. And that time in Feb is one of the lowest overall DVC demand times of the year.

The DVC portion of Concierge Level at AKV consists of 5 2-bedroom lock-offs which are on the 6th floor of Jambo House.

For club level, you always need to keep looking just in case something opens after 11 months out. What some have turned to is extended walking of a reservation. An example of what that is: someone wants week of October time. They start going online as early as July to find a week open. The first time at 11 months out that they find a start date open, they immediately book 7 nights. At 11 months out what that does is lock up the room for not just the week but for days thereafter for a while because for the next six days of 11 month bookings no one can get a start date for that particular room space that is already taken, making later days also safe. Six days after making the reservation, the member calls and drops the first six nights and adds six at the end. That process continues every six days until the member has the 7 nights he wants in Oct.

With walking sometimes comes opportunity for others. When that walker does his first drop of six nights and adds six, that means the original six nights become open for that room space. Though there are wait lists, the wait list system has a major flaw in that they do not match wait list to new openings until the end of the day. That means when that walker does his change of nights, you will have a brief time during which those relinguished nights come open to anyone who happens to be online looking for such nights at the time of the change.
