Can anyone tell me what they enjoyed here for breakfast? We have it booked for an 8:20am breakfast. DD7 is sooo looking forward to eating with the princesses. DH is not a huge lover of eggs but of course will eat there because of HIS princess princess:..looking for some specifics to assure him he won't starve. What have you found to be yummy but egg free there?:goodvibes

I'm not an egg person either and I don't eat breakfast meats! That said we eat there twice per visit (we've got a princess too!) and we all love it. I tend to get a bagel, cinnamon rolls, biscuits or something from the cold buffet and then boy are those potatoes GOOD!!!

We always leave full and happy! Tell him he'll love it.

Sorry to tag on - I like eggs but HATE runny eggs. I like mine to be well cooked and dry. I often hate massed produced eggs for this reason... Do they take special requests like that?

I hardly ever eat eggs.

I had yogurt, bacon, some kind of bread item (muffin, cinnamon bun?), fruit.

This was one of my busier meals with trying to get signatures on two T-shirts (had to move the hoop), take photos, go and ask the chef for items for my lactose intollerant niece (syrup, ketchup). I don't remember much about the food.

Don't know if they take special requests, but my family really enjoyed this breakfast! The cold bar has lots of fruit, pastries that are delicious! Even if you don't like the eggs, you'll still love your experience!:upsidedow

Don't worry, your DH will not starve, they have so many good things on the cold bar alone. If he doesn't like eggs, then he certainly does not have to eat them, there are other very good items that you pass around your table (the potatoes are my favorite ) and then add the cold bar to his plate, he will be good as gold. My family loves Akershus and we only do it for breakfast, it is one of our top breakfasts in Disney :thumbsup2

We had breakfast there just last week, and it was very good. The platter they bring out has eggs, bacon, sausage and those yummy potatos on it. The cold buffet had all sorts of berries and pastries on it, along with some smoked salmon. Your hubby shouldn't go away hungry.

I'm sure your princess will love it!princess: Ours did. Have fun!

Just to echo everyone else already, he'll be more than fine.

I don't eat eggs either, and when we were there in September I most definitely did not go hungry! I could have eaten the potatoes all day, but the sausage, bacon, and cold bar items more than made up for my lack of egg eating.

This was one of my DH's favorites. He couldn't get enough of their hashbrown casserole. They were nice, brought him a 2nd plate loaded with the stuff. It is all you can eat - so don't feel bashful asking for a 2nd family plate - it didn't seem to phase them at all when DH did.

I didn't care for the eggs - I'm not really an egg person, and they were not cooked as fully as I would have liked - but one of my DDs thought they were wonderful.

My other DD and I ate fruit & croissants from the buffet area.

We all walked away just fine.

You can special order pancakes there but not french toast or waffles.

Tell me about the pancakes - I would assume that's instead of the family platter? Or can you get them in addition to it? I love pancakes but I wouldn't want to miss out on the potatoes!!

My nieces are huge pancake, waffle and french toast eaters so I asked our server and he said I can special order pancakes at no extra charge...the brought out a platter of silver dollar size pancakes....the kids were not thrilled with them though as they were a tad overcooked for the girls but DH ate them and said they were good.

Is the cold buffet the same items they offer at lunch - meats, cheeses, salads, etc? I LOOOOVE the cold buffet, but would like to try breakfast here, too...

Ah just one of the many little sacrifices dear ol' dads have to make for their little princesses eating among a castle filled with Disney princesses...All the food was yummy...but I'm sure he will enjoy the cold bar. My hubby will be bribed into eating there again this coming June. But he takes it in stride he's on vacation and doing it for his kids.

Thank you for all your responses and suggestions! It sounds like DH will not starve. ;) DD7princess: and I are very excited about our breakfast there!
