Akershus or tour WS with 7yr old?

Ugh, I am so undecided on this. I have a few days with just my 7yr old before my DH and DD15 meet up with us. We have done CRT breakfast in past stays but have never done Akershus. I feel like this is a great time to try with just my 7yr old (as tomboy 15yr old wouldn't be as excited and it gets pricy with 4 of us) but even with just the two of us it is $80+ and would eat up about 2 hours. I feel like we could also see most of the princesses if we just walked around WS, did character stops and then could also do the passport and Agent P for Mom/Daughter fun.

Thoughts?

I love the breakfast at Akershus and we do it almost every trip. It feels less rushed than CRT, and costs less. At Akershus, Belle is in her yellow ballgown, but if you see her in France, she's in her blue dress. We've also been lucky and seen Cinderella at Akershus even though she isn't listed as one of the usual princesses which appear.

How much time do you have at Epcot? In my experience, the breakfast at Akershus takes about 90 minutes. Depending on the time of year, you could spend much more time than that trying to track down all the different princesses in WS. They appear intermittently and can have lines of 15-30 minutes. I'd prefer to just do the breakfast and get some of the princesses out of the way and then just track down the ones you didn't see.

Depends on if you really want to save time meeting the princesses all in one place. We did akershus once and will never go back. The food wasn't our thing and for the price we'd rather eat anywhere else in WS, even CS.

You will have to decide about the money factor, but the meal will probably only take 1-1 1/2 hrs, and it is nice to get princesses coming to your table w/o getting in line for each. We do brft, which is least expensive. You will probably get Belle in her yellow dress for the pic, which you don't see in WS (usually in her blue dress there). Then it depends- we have had Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, and Mermaid - all in WS except Mermaid. We have also had Cinderella, not seen in WS, so there could be some you wouldn't get walking around, or could be duplicates. (I see that Maggie'sMom above has just posted similar advice!)

It depends what the rest of your day is like and if you are spending the day. You could do late brft after doing FW, and head into WS to tour after and do Agent P, passport, etc. Or try for early brft and hit Frozen ride at opening and do M&G, and then do FW since WS not open yet, and do WS in afternoon. Whatever you do enjoy the time w/just DD - I had this for a few days w/DD10(at that time) a few yrs ago before DH and DS13 joined us, and it was awesome! We hopped between all 4 parks in those 2 days and had brft at Cape May and Tusker House, and it was so much fun - would not be the same now at 13 as you can probably imagine! Great memories!:goodvibes

For that day, it is Epcot AM EMH and we have a 10:50 ADR at Akershus but the earliest I could get FEA was 2:10pm as it is my 2nd day and my window just opened up.

Our plan that day is to be there at rope drop, going to TT first and then heading over to Soarin. After Soarin it should be after 9am and then we are doing the rest of the stuff on that side (Nemo, Turtle Talk, Figment, Pixar) until it is time to head over to Norway at 10:50. I guess we will be done breakfast (which is basically our lunch) by 12:15ish and we have 2 hours to kill before our fastpass in the same location. So I hate to go back to Future World again so we would probably just do Mexico/China/Outpost and Agent P in that area.

I guess my thought was instead of doing the breakfast, we would just tour WS after finishing up Land/Living Seas/Figment around 11am, start with Canada and work our way around all the countries until our FP in Norway at 2:10pm. We have never done that during the day and thought it would be fun just us two. Look for characters, do the passport, get food at the kiosks, Agent P, see all the stuff during the Flower and Garden festival, etc... Less zig-zagging and worry about times. She likes the princesses but there is no one major that is a must.

My family had a similar plan. We did RD, TT, then booked it over to Soarin. We then did land, Nemo and Turtle Talk. By then it was around 11 so we could do mexico, Norway and china before an Akershus lunch. Don't forget that there's the Anna and Elsa meet and greet. For your 10:50 it might also work out that you get breakfast offerings at first, and then also the beginning of lunch offerings near the tail end. My 5 and 8 year old loved being in the princess parade there.
