Which Princess breakfast does everyone like better and why?? Food?? Princesses??? Overal experience? Where going with my 3 year old neice and she looooooves the princesses! Thanks for any information!

We ate at CRT in 2005 and both my DDs loved the whole experience. I mean, who wouldn't since you are in Cinderella's Castle? Anyway, the food was excellent and the Princess interaction was priceless. We saw Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and Snow White. Downstairs we got to take a picture with Fairy Godmother. This was the first character experience that my girls had since this was their first trip to WDW, and it really set the stage to what was to come for the rest of the trip. We have not been to Akershus, as of yet, we have ADRs when we go in a week. I am really hoping that Jasmin is there because that is my DD6 favorite Princess and she was the only one we missed last time. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

We went to the castle on our recent trip and loved it!!! The atmosphere is sooo spectacular and the food was good.

well since CRT changed in 2006 things have been different. It has generally been easier though not exactly easy to get a table at crt...I did it 3 weeks before our trip last year and had my choice of times throughout the day.

I dont have experience with all the meal times but here goes...For me, my husband, and my son we all enjoyed breakfast at akershus better than dinner at CRT. We liked the food better and we don't even do breakfast food often. We really didn't likethe food at CRT. Not that it was exactly bad but just tasted very very cheaply made for the price we paid. My daughter (7) was extremely awed by the experience of eating in the castly. Our server was great and played along with us for birthday surprises. For those two things it was worth it but little else. She didnt eat her food and neither did my son, she was disappointed with her special birthday desert (what looked like a prepackaged cupcake) while her brother got a sundae. We were all disappointed (although we expected it from reading the reviews) that there was very littel character interaction other than the 1 minute sit and snap with Cinderella before dinner. We all ate heartily at Akershus and liked the multiple princesses and interaction and had great service there too.

Now that is camparing two different things. Compared to CRT breakfast where you have the multiple princess interaction + cinderella and similar food to akershus things are a bit more even i'm sure but CRT is still way more expensive yet it is in the castle. In 2005 I chose breakfast at akershus and dinner at 1900 park fare and got to see all the princesses that way and we were happy but wow was it great last year taking my little princess up those stairs into the castle...worth it for the one time but we wont be doing it again. Since we have done the Castle I would definitely prefer, since I'm on the dining plan, to do the akershus/1900 park fare combo in the future and get two meals out of it.

Atmosphere? CRT Food? Akershus. I like both but I think I like Akershus just a little better because it isn't as busy and Mulan is at Akershus and I love Mulan

Unless her favorite is Mulan or Jasmine, I would say CRT. Girls at this age really remember going INSIDE the castle and meeting all of the princess: princess: princess: princess: if you were really worried about the food you would not choose a character meal.

My DD6 enjoyed them both. I have to agree that CRT has the best atmosphere. Nothing beats being royally received by Cinderella, then climbing the stairs into the dining room in the castle. She loved Akershus as well simply because her favorite princess, Aurora, was there but not at CRT.

Food-wise, neither one is worth the price just for the food, but the Akershus lunch was more to my liking than the ordinary CRT breakfast.

FYI, we had the following princesses at each:
CRT: Cindy (of course), Snow White, Jasmine, Belle (peasant dress), Fairy Godmother
Akershus: Belle (ball gown), Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, Snow White

Incidentally, Jasmine remembered my red-haired DD6 from CRT 3 days earlier.

We have done both I dont think you can go wrong with either one, but of course the atmosphere of the castle was the most memorable for my 2 kids.( and myself)
If you cant get CRT then definately go with Asherkus. Good Luck!

We've gone to both for breakfast. CRT in 2005 and Akershus in 2006. DH & I preferred Akershus. The food is somewhat similar, but we for some reason enjoyed it more at Akershus. It also seemed to be less rushed. As for our DDs...they enjoyed both, but I think Akershus as well. We had 5 actual princesses there. At CRT, there were I think 3 princesses but then Mary Poppins and the Fairy Godmother. They didnt even know who Mary Poppins was (we actually have a cute picture of younger DD giving Mary and odd look). I'm trying to decide on this same thing for next year, when we take my parents as well, who never never been in the castle. Can't decide still.

Thanks for all of the reviews! It is a tough choice. We'll just have to see what characters she likes the most and go from there. We have all been in the castle before (besides my neice). So i'm glad to hear what all of you thought about Norway also. Thanks!
