Akershus or Biergarten?

Looking to make ADR at one of these restaurants for dinner. What are your opinions? It will be myself with DD (8).

I think it comes down more to what you would prefer. Biergarten is a buffet, has a band that plays, is a more festive atmosphere, but you will sit with 6 other people which can change how you enjoy the meal for better or worse. Akershus is a princess character meal, has a buffet for appitizers, you choose an entree and dessert is served family style and includes a photo package with Belle.

If this will be your only TS and sitting with others in a loud environment is something that will take away from the meal, you don't like buffets or your DD wants to see the princesses, go with Akershus. If this isn't your only TS and you wouldn't mind sitting with others in a festive atmosphere or you like German food, go with Biergarten.

IMO, its like apples and oranges. We like both so it really comes down to which you would like better or if there is one you really don't want. Sorry if that doesn't help at all.

I have never been to either but a few of my family members have (very pick Romanian aunt, uncle that has traveled the world and their child, 5 at the time) and they really enjoyed Biergarten for the food and atmosphere.

One day during my last trip, my family actually split up between these two restaurants. My mom and I went to Akershus, and my dad and brother went to Biergarten. We both had a great time and enjoyed the food.

I agree that it depends on the environment that you are looking for. If your DD is into princesses, Akershus will be great (especially if you are not doing CRT).

We went to both on our last trip- my daughter is nine. She is NOT really all that much into the princesses, but she would choose Akershus hands down over Beirgarten should the choice be presented to her again. They're both good, but we'd all vote Akershus here! Either way, though, you'll have a blast- both fine choices!

I think Akershus is a great character meal, and presents interesting and tasty food. My daughter actually said she would return there even though she has outgrown the princess theme a few years back.

We went to Biergarten for the first time in May and really enjoyed it. The food was great, hot, fresh, and the one couple we sat with were very friendly. I think it's the luck of the draw though because the 3rd couple there did not speak one word to any of us.

Biergarten is awesome and would be my pick, unless she is dying to see princesses.
