We're not on the DDP & we'd LOVE to get some pics w/ the princesses. I read through the menu but is it something people would recommend? We looked at 1900 Park Fare along w/ this but I'm still trying to hammer it out. Is the food at Akershus enjoyable, Any pros or cons? Thanks so much :)

(My friends let me pick all the reservations for this summer! lol they're pretty much willing to try anything)

My family wasn't really crazy about the food at Akershus but we still wanted the Princess meal. Last year instead of lunch or dinner we went there for breakfast. REALLY long wait to get in, but the food (American fare) was much more to our liking :thumbsup2

I really liked the food at Akershus....

IMO it is the best princess character meal.
happy planning

DOn't let the menu scare you- everything is pretty easy to digest. We didn't love the food, thought it was a bit bland but once again- that's not what we were really there for.

The food at the Akershus lunch was okay. Nothing spectacular, but I don 't remember thinking that anything was bad. We took our DD there for lunch, so she could see the princesses. When we were there, she was able to meet Belle, Aurora, Jasmine and Cinderella. After lunch, we were lucky enough to get Mulan's signature outside.
On our most recent trip to WDW, we took her to 1900 Park Fair for breakfast. The food was good. Characters included Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters. I think the fairy godmother is there sometimes, but she wasn't at our breakfast.
If you are more interested in princesses, then I would go to Akershus.

We ate there for lunch in November. I asked for a veggie meal and the chef came to the table. He made me a fabulous lunch. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. My sister loved their signature dish. (sorry, can't remeber the name of it) The service was excellent and the atmosphere was sooooo much fun. We had no children with us but the little girl at the table next to us kept us in stitches. Everytime a princess would come to her table she would introduce herself as the princess. She changed her name everytime a new princess arrived. She had the most serious look on her face. It was hysterical.:rotfl2:
