Akershus Dinner for Picky Eater?

I am pretty nervous about this. My DH is not to picky, but honestly I am. Big fan of basic american food. Will there be anything I can eat? Kids are very, very basic junk eaters, hot dogs, pizza, chicken nuggets etc. How about for them. I can get through it probably with something but on all ears I don't see a kids menu? Anyone know what they have? I hope it is something different than the adult menu?

Which meal? Breakfast food is normal fare so should be no worries. I was there for lunch and had a pulled pork BBQ sandwich (which you do not see on the menu postings on the web). If nothing appeals to you order off the kids menu which is as you highlighted standard fare, pizza, hotdog, chicken. Plus there is an appt bar with cold cuts, fruits, salad and breads. For some strange reason the kids menu is not listed but trust me there is one. If you dont want to try the Norwegian food, the Norwegian drinks are interesting if you like adult beverages.

We ate there last year...........I am pretty picky......I wasn't thrilled with the menu, but I am a big salad eater so I just made myself a large salad from the bar and added some cheese and ham from the meat trays....the salad dressings were "normal". I think for the children's menu it has grilled chicken, pizza, and something else...........desserts are all served on one plate with spoons........we weren't thrilled with it at all.

My DH and I had lunch there last year and I am very fussy (I too am a basic "American food" eater). I didn't like anything special on the menu so I hate a lot of the buffet--salad, cold meats/cheese, etc. I ended up ordering the Traditional Kjottkaker, which I guess is supposed to be like a meatloaf. It was just okay--nothing specvial. My DH had the braised lamb and did not like it at all.

Lunch:
