Akershus Change

According to Disney's website and all ears it looks like the buffet is gone again. Can anyone who has been there recently confirm?

I'm glad I didn't make reservations for our December trip. The buffet was by far our favorite part of the experience :(

On both the app and website, for lunch and dinner "Taste of Norway" is listed under Appetizer. The buffet is listed for breakfast.
Taste of Norway
Everyone’s Royal Feast begins with an authentic “Taste of Norway” featuring some of the finest Scandinavian Seafood, Imported Cheeses, cured and sliced Meats, and a vast selection of Salads and Fruits

We just had breakfast there on 10/19 and the buffet was definitely there :goodvibes

I've never seen the Taste of Norway buffet listed on the breakfast menus, but you say it's part of it? That's great! Breakfast is cheaper than lunch and dinner, right? I can easily eat my fill of smoked salmon and cheese and asparagus.

Would they then force me to order a main breakfast? I'm not a huge fan of the quality of their breakfast choices, but I would happily pay the meal price and just eat that buffet bit!! :D

I'm not sure what the buffet is actually called, it is the same buffet that they always had in the past. As for other food, you aren't forced to eat the hot plate that comes to your table, just know that you will get scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, and cheesy potato casserole with an option to get more if you run out.

@PoohsFan1 We booked lunch last time to get the buffet of starters, and had heard that had been discontinued and replaced with a smaller selection served to your table. For us, the big selling point for the meal was the starters (known as the Taste of Norway) which you served yourself and had a variety of meats, fish, cheese, salads, breads, etc. We'll book a breakfast to eat that stuff again, if it's gone from lunch but it's weird if they serve it at breakfast when it's no longer at lunch or dinner (when it makes sense!)
