Akershus ADR & Illuminations?

I have a 7:55pm ADR at Akershus. Will there be enough time for us to see the 9pm Illuminations? Where do you see Illumminations from and is it a far walk from Akershus?

It's only a couple minute. You can view Illuminations from nearly anywhere on the circle. Is it character at dinner? Character meals take a good hour to 1.5 hours. You can finish quicker if you hit it just as the characters are coming to your area. Also, you may be seated after you reservation time. We were seated nearly 1/2 late for b/fast. If you really want to see Illuminations, then I'd move your ADR up an hour. If you don't care if you miss it, then stick to your time.

We've averaged 1.25hs for our meals at Akershus; however, we also haven't been seated on time the times we've dined there. You wouldn't have to walk far to get at least some view of the show, but it will likely be packed and I think you'll still be dining when the show starts with the current adr time.

I would recommend a reservation around 6:30 or no later than 7:00. That will allow extra time if you're seated after your res time, time to enjoy dinner and the visit by the princesses and time afterwards to find a viewing spot.

While it's only a few yards from the entrance of the Akershus to the Showcase Lagoon, you may have to walk around a bit to find a viewing spot you like. You'll want a spot that has a view of the center of the lagoon and the globe and isn't obstructed by trees.
