Heading to Disney over Spring Break with DD 4, DS 2, and DH. Please look at AK plan as we'd like to push through to get it done in one day! Have only been there once so not overly familiar with it!

3. Pangani Forest

After AM EMH

What FP should we get later on in the day? Too much?

I'd try to get one more headliner done in EMH or 1st Hour.

Actually they have to do two Everest rides (one parent rides while other stays with the toddlers, and then switch), and the same thing for Kali River Rapids. -- which means I don't think they can finish Items 1-5 in time to make the 10:00 Lion King Show. They won't finish Item 2 until 9:00 or later.

OP: I doubt that you'll need Fast Passes for Dinosaur, and they haven't been operating the Fast Pass machines for Primeval Whirl for quite a while now.

Child swap hasn't taken up that much time in our experience - we've ridden EE 3x cycling through the line each time AND done KS within amemh.

My advice would be to scrap the trails in amemh. Also to just FP KRR at 9am and not ride it until after the Nemo show - it can be miserable sitting in the AC Nemo show when really wet.

Go all rides until the 10am nemo show and compile FP so you can duplicate later - you should be able to get 3 before 10am.

I like to fill the late am early pm with the trails and non waiting stuff because crowds are largest then.

THATS a long long day for two kids (2 & 4 with a park start of 7:45) so you will have to be at the bus stop at what time-- and what time to get up??

Kali Rivers-- we got super soaked- I mean drenched to the underwear soaked. Just in case-- leave time to go to the rest rooms to get completly changed--

If I had only one show to be seen-- FOTLK for sure. Nemo was just too long of a show for us.

No characters?

One of our memorable moments-- we did not plan at all to go to Conservation Station- But the train was there and we said-- what the heck.
WOW- There was hardly anyone there- The characters--- Pocohantas, Jiminy Crickett, Rafiki Pocohanatas sat at the table and colored with the kids. THe little petting zoo-- amazing (i guess coz there was not a lot of people there??

Dinosaur-- scared the crap outta me.

Bring extra clothes for everyone unless you want to tour for the rest of the day while you are soaked to the skin after Kali at the very beginning of the regular operating hours. I'd do that right before you leave for the day.

You will not need a fastpass for Dinosaur. I don't think I'd take the 4yo on Dinosaur even if she's tall enough. That ride is terrifying to many adults!

With kids that young I'd consider skipping the train & replace it with Camp Minnie Mickey so they can meet all the characters. As of next month, it sounds like they are removing the character meets from Conservation Station, so you have to wait on both ends to board a long train ride out & back to a petting zoo & some displays the kids can't read and probably won't be interested in. Get your train-riding fix at Magic Kingdom.

Thanks for all of the help!

I'm starting to question if I want to ride the Rapids at all- is it worth it?

We are doing a lot of character meals which is why we aren't doing any meet and greets.

Other opinions on Nemo?

Was that during a high-crowd time of year? OP is going during Spreak Break.

But I agree that they might finish Everest and the Safari by 9:00.

We enjoy Kali Rapids, but we wear ponchos to minimize getting wet. One other consideration is that it might not yet be open until 10:00, especially if the weather is cool.

We have seen the Finding Nemo show once, and none of our 7 grandkids ever care about seeing it again.

Sounds like a lot of things that your kids won't be able to do- Everest, Dinosaur (I agree, don't do it with the 4yo), Primeval Whirl. Will the 4yo be tall enough for Kali River Rapids?

I'd send your DH ahead (or you) to ride EE & get a FP for the other person while the other takes their time to walk with the kids back to the safari. Meet up there and ride. Take some time to walk the trails. Go back to EE for the other adult to ride.

I'd definitely take the train (although I hadn't heard that the characters were leaving) since my kids loved the train at that age. It does take some time, so don't try to squeeze it in before something timed (like lunch).

I'd skip Kali if I were you- or do it at the end of the day. Save it for when both kids are tall enough to ride.

Spend some time at the Boneyard- good for when an adult is riding Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl. Kids will like Triceratops Spin, too. All of that should be flexible, no need to plan what order.

We liked Nemo and I remember DD especially liking it just before she turned 3. But we probably wouldn't try to do two shows in one day, too much sitting for little ones. We'd do Nemo over Lion King because Lion King honestly scared the kids when they were little (but they love it now at 7 and 9).

I know many have said that Dinosaur is way too scary for a 4 year old, but you know your child the best. My 4 year old absolutely LOVED Dinosaur and was smiling big as life in the picture they take when the big dino scares the heck out of you. You make the call on this one:goodvibes
