AK to AKL and back again?

I'd love to have dinner at Jiko on our day planned for AK. I'd like to see ROL and do the river ride after dark. How difficult would it be to visit AK during the day and drive over for Jiko at dinner time and then back again for ROL? We will have our car. This is all new to us. While we've been to Disney several times, AK is usually a half day footnote for us. But I think there is finally enough for us to do that we can stay the whole day. TIA!

This is a great plan for a full day! So, I'm not sure how much goes in to driving to the Lodge and back, as we never drive on our trips. I will say, it is super easy and close proximity to just leave your car at AK and take the bus back and forth. If you have never been to AKL, please be sure to leave yourself enough time to explore the resort either before or after your dinner. You can check out the animal viewing areas out back, and the art exhibits throughout the lobby or down the corridors. Maybe make an early dinner reservation, so you can explore before it gets too dark! Either way you travel, it is definitely a great plan for your day!!

There are dedicated buses that run between the park and resort. Bus stop #10, middle walkway in the bus stop area.

Thank you! Good idea to leave extra viewing time. We have never been! We have this whole Poly, MK and Epcot huddle going on. We need to branch out. We've also never checked out the Boardwalk either so I'm making reservations at the Flying Fish on one of our Epcot days. So excited to be stepping out of our routine!

If this is an adult only trip... when you check out the Boardwalk for Flying Fish, you should plan to visit Jelly Rolls afterwards! It's a dueling piano bar, and SUPER Fun!!! You'll be singing all night!

It's not. But one of our kids is 21 so he could always babysit. LOL!!
