We're planning on being at AK on Sat May 16 (easywdw crowd level 7), and have an ADR at Tusker House at 8 AM. On our last trip we were able to finish breakfast by about 9 AM and head straight to the Safari for a short standby wait (5-10 mins). Do you think this plan will still work? Or are there a lot of early FP arrivals for Safari that make the standby line a much longer wait between 9-9:30? Would you recommend using one of our 3 pre-scheduled FP's on the Safari?

TIA for any feedback! :)

You will not need the FP if you get to the Safari between 9 and 9:15 am. If you want to ride the safari again later in the day that would be a better use of the FP, or use it on something else.

I would save your FP+'s for the afternoon and ride everything standby in the mornings. There are lots of things to do that don't require FP+ you can do if the ride lines get longer than you're willing to wait in.

The last time I was there, we were among the first 10 people to get to the Safari entrance. As we were snaking our way through the line, right beside us was a couple snaking their way through the FP line. They obviously had a "first thing in the morning" FP for the ride. We ended up on the same truck. Not a very good use of a FP, if you ask me. Unless they were trying to burn through theirs to get more during the day. But when used strategically, there really is not need for a 4th or 5th FP at AK.
