AK Pool View?

has anyone stayed at the AK with a pool view? the castmember at reservations suggested the pool view over a standard view for $6.00 more a day-
that still comes to 42.00 more for a "view" - does it matter?
if you have a pool view is there a lot of pool noise?

we have never stayed at AK - we've been trying to decide between coronado springs and ak

I would definitely book pool view over standard. My problem with the std. view rooms at AKL is that some of them are directly over/next to the front entry of the resort. Too much activity there.

I have no problem looking at a parking lot, but if I'm going to look at one, I'd be much happier paying less for it at a moderate resort.

Im calling tonight for a pool view. I hope it is not to noisy. This will be are first stay at AKL. Upgrading from CBR.

ask for an upper floor We had an awesome view no noise at all Its definately worth it. AKL is my fav resort you will love it there

Pool view DEFINITELY - or you could get stuck overlooking the parking lot or the buses -- We stayed in a room on the ground floor - last room next to the gym and spa -- it was awesome -- we were right outside of the waterslide and one of the hot tubs.

The Pool View room almost guarantees you a lovely view, so I would definitely choose it over a Standard View. We have stayed 2nd floor and 3rd floor and we heard no pool noise. If you look at photos of the resort pool, you will see that there is a lot of foliage around the pool and I suspect that it really helps buffer the noise.

Is it worth it? HECK YEAH! Hmmm, possibly looking at cars and busses or a beautiful oasis. hmmmmmm

Another vote for pool view. We've stayed in a pool view and we've stayed in that dreaded room right by the entry....can't even think about comparing. We didn't open our window once that week.

For $6 it's definitely worth it. The AKL pool area is really beautiful, you won't see the parking lot or hear the buses, and the pool area is not as noisy as it is as some other WDW resorts, maybe because it's so large. I'd go for the pool room!

We've had a pool view at AKV (Jambo)....never heard one peep from the pool area.
