Hello all! I’m technically new to this forum but have been browsing for a bit in preparation for my May Disney Trip!

My sister and I are going to Disney May 5th-8th. We’ve got Park Hoppers and are hopping from AK to HS on one of the days.

I wanted to know if the following is feasible. If not, we’ll plan on adjusting.

We’re going to AK on an EMH morning day and plan to be there at rope drop, ready to go. We’ve got fastpasses for the following: Expedition Everest (10am), Safari (Noon), and FOP (1:20).

Would we be able to do Na’vi, Dinosaur, and Kali River Rapids prior to our first fastpass if we’re there before the park opens? We’re thinking of hitting Na’vi first at 8am (not a priority ride but would like to do it if possible), then Dinosaur. Then, we’d hit Kali right around when it opens (Disney site said it opens at 9:30, but we’re willing to hit it a little later depending on how the first two go). We’re also not opposed to hitting our EE fastpass towards the end of the window if needed.

I know it may be a bit of back and forth in the park, but my sister and I are both really active and don’t mind the walk.

We’re considering cutting Na’vi if we don’t have time. If we did it, judging by what I’ve read on here, it seems best to do that first. We’re planning to hop to HS right after our FOP fastpass.

We’ll be going on Monday, May 6th, for crowd reference. Any thoughts are so appreciated! We’re not entirely interested in altering our fastpasses but are willing to alter our plan for the other rides.

My guess is you'll need to find something to fill the time after Dino and before Kali opens. You should be off Na'vi by 8:30 and over and off Dino before 9:00. You might even be able to get a ride in on EE before Kali opens. I'd be trying to modify that 1:20 FoP from now until then to an earlier time.

For planning purposes, I generally plan on 4 rides in the first hour the park is open, 3 rides in the second hour, and 2 in ever hour after that. You are going to have a ton of time to kill

Sure, you'll have loads of time. Between your Everest and Safari fp's, be sure to walk through the animal trails - Maharaja Jungle trek is near EE, and Gorilla Falls is near the Safaris. They are beautiful trails and will help pass the time. After Safaris, consider eating your lunch at Satu'li Canteen in Pandora while you wait for your FOP fp. So delicious and the atmosphere is amazing!

Yes I think you will have plenty of time. mamaofsix has a great idea about walking the animal trails if you have extra time. I love Gorilla Falls .

I'd strongly support the plan to RD Navi. 1) you can't FP both it and FoP, and you'd be cwazy not to FP FoP. As many times as possible in one trip. 2) It's a beautiful ride and a shame to miss, but 3) not so awesome that it's worth waiting hours for. It's often a walk-on at RD, and even for us, hitting it 10 minutes after the start of EMH, it was a mere 30 minutes.

It might be crazy or redundant, but if you're really into the idea of the Kilimanjaro Safaris, you could do an extra one after ropedropping Navi. They say the animals are more active in the early morning, and you get different results with every ride anyway.

I would rope drop FOP then do N’Avi. Believe me you’re going to want to ride FOP more than once and when you get off you can ride N’avi without any wait and have plenty of time to make your Everest FP. We did this last September and it worked out perfectly.

you should have plenty of time. Most of the EMH crowd will be headed to FoP. Navi, will be nearly walk on.
If EMH is at 8, you will want to be in line for the turnstile by 7:30 at the lastest. You don't need to be there as early since you aren't trying to do FoP.
You should be off Navi before 8. Off Dinosaur by 8:30. You should have time to ride EE either standby or single rider several times before heading to Kali.
