AK on monday 11.27 ??

Hi !

I subscribed to an online tour guide thing, but just had a quick question - how important are the recommendations regarding which park to avoid on certain days. Specifically, how bad would the animal kingdom be on Monday the 27 (the monday after thanksgiving) when it is listed as a park to avoid.

It says sunday is the best day to go there, but it may work better for us if we go to AK monday for the first part of the day, then hit MK for the christmas party right at 4.

The only thing I really care about there is the lion king show, because when we went before two years ago on presidents day it was so crowded I HATED it and we saw virtually nothing but crowds and really pretty plants, so I don't really know what it has first hand. (and did see the tree of life, which was
cool).

So basically, do you think because AK is listed as one of the two parks to avoid on that monday it will be as crowded as it was that presidents day ? If so I will be tempted to either skip it, or go sunday, even though I'd rather have sunday for something else since I don't think we'll need a full day there.

It's probably listed as the "park to avoid" because it is an EMH morning for AK.
Having said that, are you staying onsite? If so, take advantage of the EMH and then hit the first lion king show which is usually around 9:40 or 9:45 AM.
If not staying onsite, try to get there around 9:00 AM and head right to the lion king show. Most/All EMH guests head to the safari or expedition everest.

Thanks for the reply. We are staying off site, unfortunately, but it should be super easy to get there early.

I am not going to lock any plans in stone, and will wait and see, even though sunday is the day they say its best, its good to know that if we get there early enough on monday it might not be too packed.

Then, a full day sunday - the only "full day" we'll really have. What to do... time to start a new post !!
