First, if this is more suitable for one of the dining forums or elsewhere, let me know. Here's my situation:

Going to AK on November 22.
Currently have two dinner reservations: 'Ohana at 4:55pm and Whispering Canyon at 7:25pm. (Family would prefer 'Ohana but is willing to move if the schedule demands).
AK currently has a posted closing time of 6:00pm.

If AK launches ROL and extends their evening hours, I could see keeping the early 'Ohana reservation and going back to AK after dinner. If not, I can switch to the later reservation.

What I want to avoid is a dinner plan wiping out any ability to attend AK nighttime events - if I'm at 'Ohana from 5-6 and the park closes at 7, there's no point in going back to AK. If AK is open until 8:30, it could work.

So dust off those crystal balls and magic 8-balls: how late will AK be open during the week before Thanksgiving?

I don't know - I'm waiting to find out, just like you. As I've mentioned in other threads, very frustrating to be asked to develop my touring plans 60+ days in advance, only to be sitting at day 59 and still not know what the hours will be for Animal Kingdom.

Since this year at DAK is completely different from previous years, there is zero way to even begin to speculate on hours.

I'm going Oct 22 to 29 and hours were extended to 8:30 a couple of weeks ago. I think most likely yours will be too.

Remember that Daylight Saving Time will drop out Nov. 6, which may change some things.

Hmm, good point. Will be darker earlier.

Yup.
Many of the "summer" evening events at all parks that must begin no earlier than 9PM
(due to Daylight Saving Time... and later sunset times) can begin as early as 7PM in the "winter."

No clue as to just what will ultimately happen at DAK, as it is a huge unknown at this point.

Being that it's Thanksgiving week, I would think they would stay open later than 7:00. They should probably be making an announcement by the end of the month. I think the October extensions came out the end of August.
