AK Meal Deal

Does AK still offer the Meal Deals? If so, do most people find it to be that great of a deal?

It was still being offered in mid-Feb. I think it's a good deal, you usually come out a few dollars ahead.

From what I've read, it seems you get most out of the deal at Flame Tree and Tusker House, is this true? Any other recommendations? This will be our first time at AK.

Can someone explain the meal deal? I think I might have done this a few years ago, but I can't remember. Thanks!

From memory- the meal deal can be bought at any counter-service restaurant in the Animal Kingdom. It consists of a voucher for one meal with a drink, another voucher for choice of ice cream or popcorn, and another voucher for a bottled water or other beverage. I don't remember the price, but you save a couple of dollars over all. We used one adult voucher at Tusker House for a rib plate with corn, beans and garlic toast. It was enough for my DH and I to split and then split an ice cream sandwich and water later. This was great bc we didn't get overful on a hot day and could enjoy eating at Boma's later in the evening.

Are these meal deal vouchers always the same price? If so, how much for adult & kid vouchers?

From what I have read, the price is $11.99 for adults and $5.99 for children. Not sure about the age limit though.

We had rib plate from Flame Tree- not Tusker House as I said earlier...oops.

I believe kids is 10 and under like tickets, but I'm not sure they ask. Just make your purchases with the kids holding a table perhaps...
