AK lion king show

The Lion King show at AK is closing as of August 25th for rehab. We are arriving at CBR (Sanford Airport 10:30am) and we were planning on settling in and then going to MGM to see Fantasmic; however, I'm wondering if we should go to AK first to see Lion King. Does anyone know if it is showing Aug 24th and what time the shows might be?
Unfortunately, we are leaving Sat Aug 30th at 7pm and during the entire week we are there no Spectromagic shows! I'd hate to miss Lion King, too....are we crazy to plan such a hectic time our first night there? Thanks!

According to Soares site, Sunday times are 9:50 & 11:00am, 12:00, 1:45, 2:45, 3:45 & 4:45pm

If you have the energy I see no reason why you couldn't catch both. Lion King is well worth the time of going to see it.

The dates are Aug 25-Sept 19, not sure if it is still down on the 19th or opens back up the 19th though.

Their enclosing the theater and adding AC and Heating. So it should be better than ever when they reopen it.

I'm a little sad about this, because I will miss it too when I go down for Labor Day. :|
