There is nothing else of the magnitude of "Festival of the Lion King" (FotLK) at DAK.

It runs many shows a day, virtually "all day".

For a much less spectacular (but "fun") little show, I recommend the "Flights of Wonder" bird show (located between "Africa" and Aisa").
Its got lots of humor and the birds are surprising to see.
I really don't think too highly of the "Pocahontas" show (in Camp Minnie-Mickey), but you should see everything at least once.
And, since "Tarzan" has finally ceased to "Rock" there really is no other "big" theater show in DAK.

Be sure to see "Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, though... its one of the best parades for guest/character interaction, good music and some GREAT imaginative parade "floats" and "puppets".

we went to this show when i was 13. i have been to disney 3 other times after this. this is by far the best show i have seen. it is a must! my little sister was picked out of the audience to come down to the front with them.

Try to sit up front with your kids when they do the seating. That way your kids might get to be a part of the show!!!!

DH and I have made the Lion King Show a must see on our May trip!!! I am so excited....

Yes. I agree to sit as close as possible, but the front 2 rows of each section are reserved for wheelchair users/handicapped guests and their parties.

DD (9 at the time) did get to be in the show. We were seated in the wheelchair rows because of my Dad. It was a very magical moment for us and one I will NEVER forget!

In fact, she was seated farther down from me and I didn't realize they had asked her to participate until I saw her in the show! :rotfl:

Yep! This is where you can find the schedule for basically all live entertainment at WDW! Festival of the Lion King is one of my absolute favorite things to do at WDW!!!! You must go and I promise you will enjoy!
Ahhh!!! I need the 19th and that won't be available until the 18th it seems!

My mom will be in a wheelchair. Will they let us sit w/her then??

Yes. Be sure to arrive at the theater at least 20 minutes before showtime.

I am surprised at how many people I talk to have not seen this show when they visit this park. The AK is not what I would call a "full day" park so it's not like there isn't enough time. On our first visit to AK a CM was stationed at the intersection to direct people to the show. I think many shows at WDW tend to get by-passed for the "rides." That's so sad.

On our last trip, we saw this the Lion King show 3 times! OH MY GOSH! It was so wonderful! My mom video taped the show and every once in a while we'll pull it out and watch it. One thing we DID discover was that the cast was different during the week than the weekend. The older gentlemen had a very deep, strong, powerful voice and it JUST carried all over the auditorium! This is definately a MUST SEE SHOW! :woohoo:

The Lion King is the best stage show in all of Walt Disney World. Don't miss it. It will add to your overall trip experience. It's one of those shows that sticks with you during and after your trip. A great memory and experience!

You will also want to see "It's Tough To Be A Bug" 3D show under the Tree Of Life. Be aware, if you have kids under 6 or 7 you may want to reconsider as this show has some scenes that maybe tough for kids to handle.
