AK - Kadani Village vs. Jambo House

We own at AK but February will be our first time staying there. We are currently booked in a Savanna View Studio at Jambo house.
Should we try to switch to Kadani?

The only difference in the Studios is the bathroom layout.

At Jambo House, the bathroom has 2 sinks and the toilet and the bathtub are separate from the sink area.

At Kidani Village, the bathroom has only one sink. The tub is located with the sink and the toilet area is separate.

How many are going? A big difference for us is the extra full bathroom in the 1BR and 2BR units that you'll find at Kidani. Also, the sleeper chair.

Beyond that, it's just personal choice. Some people like the pool better at one place or the other. Some people like the multiple restaurant choices at Jambo, especially since Kidani has no counter service restaurant.

Bottom line is that you can utilize all the amenities in both resorts regardless of where you stay. It is a big resort with some of the rooms being pretty far from the respective lobbies, so going resort-to-resort may be an easy or relatively long walk.

We've stayed at Kidani, and our next trip we will be at Jambo. I don't think either is a bad choice.

In addition to what has already been posted, Kidani has a more laid back, homey feel to it. Jambo is faster pace, busier, and louder.

Another thing to consider is dining options. Only Jambo House has quick service dining. Jambo House and Kidani Village both have table service dining. Sanaa at Kidani Village does not serve breakfast.

We stayed at both on our honeymoon and both of us agreed that we liked Jambo much better. From the lobby, to the food selection, the pool, basically everything....

The layout of the bathroom (we stayed in a studio) at Kidani was so weird. The toilet was in it's own strange little room with nothing else in it - not even a picture on the wall....it just seemed strange.

We also liked the pool at Jambo better - it felt bigger and was way less crowded, and it seemed like the resort itself felt less spread out than Kidani.

The biggest bonus at Kidani is that the busses stop there first!

I forgot about that! That's actually a pretty good point if someone is going during a busy time of the year. For us, it was this past April so not so crowded on the buses. But still a consideration.

We consider this the plus for Kidani. I also believe the rooms are larger at Kidani.

We have stayed at both and quite frankly we love both! Some of our pros/cons are:

Kidani - pros:
More laid back and quieter
Parking right near your room (big plus on longer trips!)
Buses do stop here first (except Downtown Disney bus)
Fantastic pool, slide and kids water area (adults can have fun here too )

Kidani - cons:
Room can be FAR away from pool
No concierge rooms (if that is important to you)
very small hot tub

Jambo - pros:
The food and drinks - Boma, Jiko, Mara and Victoria Falls bar!
Fantastic hot tub
Concierge rooms!!!

Jambo - cons
Can be VERY noisy
Second on bus service (often have to stand depending on time of year)
Parking can be problematic

Either way you will have a great time. Kidani is our deeded home but all of Animal Kingdom feels like home to us!

Kidani is quieter...but Jambo is more convenient for restaurants and such. However, Kidani is the first stop for the buses. I personally cannot choose between the two. I love both

Thanks everyone!
There will be four of us, my DH, DS 5, DD, 2 (almost 3) and me.
I wish we could stay in a 1 bedroom, but we don't have enough points.

I think we're going to stay with our current reservations at Jambo House. Louder doesn't bother me, but the convenience of a counter service is great.
