AK experts - anyone know what this is?

This is between the Oasis and Discovery Island but is not on the park map. Looks like some sort of boarding area for a boat - anybody know?

If I remember right there used to be a boat that ran between two docks on the river that is a big part of AK. Not a thrill ride or anything just a boat ride so you could see some of the areas from the water. It was only open one time when we were there.

it used to be a loading dock for a boat ride around the tree. Now it's just used for some character meet & greets.

Was told on a recent tour that it was indeed a boat ride but was closed because it proved to be not too popular with the guests. Part of the problem was, despite maps and signs, no one knew that it was there. It also wasnt that long of a ride from what I was told.

When I was there, oh about 7 years ago, it was the Radio Disney boat cruise. It just kind of drifted around. It was kind of boring in all honesty which is probably why they closed it. Now, in the under the overhand, that's where Pooh and Friends is, isn't it?
