AK Early ADR - Driving & Parking

We have 8am Tusker House ADRs with a 9am AK opening. I know I've heard AK parking doesn't always open very early. Does anyone have any idea what time they will open the parking lot to guests DRIVING in (i.e. NOT on the bus)? Any info/advice? TIA!

It's usually open by 7:00 or so, but every once in a while it won't open until 8:00ish.

We have a breakfast ADR at Boma on the day we are going to AK. I think we will do valet parking at AKL for our ADR and then bus AK from AKL. I've looked at the options and that one seems best for us.

If you valet park, they will let your car stay there all day?? Is that true at all the resorts?

Yes, it costs $20 plus tip to valet park and you can leave car there all day.
