Anyone have any recommendations for decent QS breakfast options inside AK? My husband & I were there in Oct at RD and were so focused on getting to Pandora and getting line etc. we totally skipped breakfast. We're probably going to RD again but would like a breakfast option.

Room service before leaving your hotel.

The lines in Africa for QS food were longer than some attractions on our last visit.

Well, I guess that ties into a different question. We stayed at Contemporary in October, and tried to get to the EMH @ AK as early as possible. We were at the bus stop at 6:10 (we weren't sure how early we should get there.) 3, yes, THREE, busses, for HS came, and nothing for AK, even though HS was not open until 9am. We finally asked the driver why he was there and he said in case there were any early ADR's. We told him we had one for AK (we didn't, but whatever) and he called for another bus. That bus didn't get there until 7:15, and we didn't get to the AK gate until 7:30ish, and by that time, there were hoards of people there. We spent all that time waiting at the bus stop, and then were scrambling to get to Pandora for a ride on FOP.

So we're staying at POP this time... do they offer a room service there at all, let alone that early in the morning? I've never in my life used room service. Sounds like we might be better off grabbing a quick bite at the hotel before we leave. I just wanted to save time, my kiddos aren't great eaters first thing in the morning.

When we were at AK in October, we used the mobile ordering app for Flame Tree and it worked great, but with the introduction of DDP folks, I'm guessing we won't have quite that same speed. We also dined at Satu'li Canteen and had no wait, I think that was a fluke, haha.

Thanks!

Depending upon how 'breakfasty' you are, you could always grab some snacks the evening before to eat for breakfast - fruit, juice, bakery options. We do this if getting up very early (either by choice or jet-lag). This tides us through until the queues go down and you can get a proper breakfast / brunch.

Last time we went to AK I didn't plan very well and I couldn't find anywhere that was serving food that early. We usually don't eat that early but AK always makes us thirstier and hungrier. So I can see lines being extremely long for whatever may be open. We always go in the summer and only really spend a half day in AK (since it's so hot!!) so I'm not really familiar with this park that well.

Next trip we are going in November so I'm hoping for cooler temps and spending two days in AK because I really like the park and want to enjoy it. Next trip we will either do room service or grab something from the QS at our resort and eat it in the room before we leave.

We had to rearrange our schedule and had no breakfast planned after our EMH at AK. We were leaving at 9:30 to head to Hollywood Studios.

We stopped at Rainforest Cafe and had breakfast. We have a Landry’s Card, so didn’t need a reservation.

Honestly, I'm more of a fan of doing two table reservations in a day and just having an early lunch at 11:30 at somewhere like Yak and Yeti and a later dinner reservation. This way you miss all the meal crowds and then you get better access to rides while everyone else is eating breakfast/lunch.
